Technician (Columbus)

Akkodis is seeking a Electrical Technician for a 8+ Contract position with a client located in Columbus, OH

Pay Range: $23/hr - $24/hr ( The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. )

Position Responsibilities The Test Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing battery chargers, inverters, regulators at pretest and final test.

Key Responsibilities: Testing, troubleshooting, and repair of uninterruptible power systems equipment such as inverters, rectifiers, chargers, static switches, AC regulators, and associated equipment. Interface with customers for factory acceptance testing as required. Recommend Test Procedure changes. Provide Technical support to customers over the phone. Any additional tasks as deemed necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Two Year Degree in Electronics or Military equivalent experience. Must have a technology background that includes at least 5 year’s experience in power electronics.

Desired Qualifications: Possess electrical and mechanical aptitude and basic skills on soldering and assembling of electro/mechanical devices. Must be proficient in the use of multi-meters and other basic instruments as well as demonstrate proficiency in the use of oscilloscopes and be comfortable with minor mechanical rework. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics, and parts lists. Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel) and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills and troubleshooting skills. Able to work alone and manage time with little supervision. Possess strong AC/DC power electronics and applications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven troubleshooting skills, ability to multitask and manage complex project, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
