Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

to: Provide advanced inpatient cardiac care for cardiac surgery patients Preop orders and postoperative transplant care Participation in Heart Failure/Shock team protocols Participation in multidisciplinary rounds, review for appropriate billing Clinical Management of Advanced Therapies- Impella, ECMO, LVAD Complex wound management, chest tubes, pacing wires, sternal closure monitoring Outpatient participation for patient work-up and continuity of care Preoperative evaluation- VAD and transplant candidacy Participate in transplant selection conference Coordinate care from inpatient to outpatient transplant clinic Education: If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program. If Physician Assistant

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – If Nurse Practitioner*: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
