Roles & Responsibilities Provide expert, compassionate critical care to medical ICU patients including sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke and MI Safely titrate IV drips and vasopressors while continuously assessing hemodynamic status Monitor and verify telemetry strips and respond promptly to rhythm changes Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and centralized monitor techs to stabilize and escalate care Troubleshoot ventilator and BiPAP issues in partnership with RT and support safe respiratory management Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity and quality Serve as a reliable team member who can float to Progressive Care (PCU) when needed Complete orientation, demonstrate skills competence and pass the required orientation exam

Qualifications Current, unrestricted RN license in the appropriate state (license to submit required) BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required at start PALS and TNCC preferred and a plus for your application Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred, especially with drips and ventilator/ BiPAP care Comfort titrating vasopressors, sedation drips and other critical care infusions Experience with EPIC charting and centralized telemetry environments Valid drivers license required for radius rule verification Adherence to facility policies including fingernail/artificial nail restrictions

Knowledge & Skills Critical care assessment and rapid clinical decision-making Ventilator basics, BiPAP troubleshooting and working knowledge of respiratory support Vasopressor and sedation infusion titration (levo, neo, cardene, precedex, propofol, etc.) Telemetry monitoring and ECG strip interpretation Familiarity with Draeger monitors and centralized monitoring systems Strong documentation skills in EPIC Ability to work autonomously overnight and collaborate with day teams Patient stabilization and transfer coordination when higher-level care is needed
