Job Description: Duties: The Pharmacist is responsible for managing and dispensing medications to incarcerated individuals in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. This role ensures safe, effective, and ethical pharmaceutical care within a correctional environment, supporting the health and well-being of the inmate population. Secure correctional facility environment. Requires adherence to strict security protocols and procedures.

Requirements Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Licensure

Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice.

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of clinical or institutional pharmacy experience (correctional healthcare experience preferred).

Skills

Strong knowledge of pharmacology, regulations, and controlled substance management; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a secure and structured environment.
