Refrigeration Technician

Job Description Job Description Title: REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Production Supervisor/Foreman Summary: Responsible prepping coils and compressors to be used in the refrigeration units installed in display cases. Under direct supervisor will train on building refrigeration units. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · All activities related to prepping coils and compressors · Complete basic wiring of display cases. · Set up work in a safe and efficient manner. · Maintains assigned equipment for inventory and repair purposes. · Assists other Trades as directed by Supervisor. · Other related duties as assigned or required. Qualifications: · At least one (1) year of HVAC/R experience · Must have knowledge of tools of the trade. · Able to read a tape measure. · Able to read blueprints. · Forklift certification may be required. · Must be able to effectively work alone or in groups with others. Punctual. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent / Vocational or Trade School. 1 to 3 plus years of HVAC/R experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with assistance. Work Environment: The environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is frequently loud.
