Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a K-12 public school district in the Washington DC metro area, located approximately 45 minutes south of DC in Stafford, VA. The position is a full-time contract assignment running from January 5, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with the possibility of part-time candidates considered if they can commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week. The role will provide coverage for a Speech-Language Pathologist who has recently resigned. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of speech therapy plans under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Support students across various grade levels in their communication development. Collaborate closely with supervising SLPs to track progress and adjust interventions as needed. Flexibly work across assigned schools as staffing needs dictate. Qualifications and Experience: Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech Communication Disorders is required. Registration with the Virginia Speech Board by the supervising SLP is mandatory (VA does not license SLPAs). Experience working in school settings preferred, but not mandatory as the district is newly incorporating SLPAs. Availability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) preferred, with part-time consideration for minimum 20-hour availability.
