Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting in Seattle, WA, focusing on developmental learning programs. This contract role extends through the current school year, concluding June 12, 2026, and is strictly in-person.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with developmental learning needs in an elementary school setting.
Provide early childhood special education support at the developmental preschool, requiring specific early childhood certification.
Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Maintain compliance with Washington State special education standards and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Washington State Special Education License and Certification required.
Early Childhood Special Education certification necessary for preschool role.
Experience working with students in developmental learning programs preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to an in-person, full-time teaching environment.
