Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support early childhood education within an elementary school setting in Wahoo, NE. This full-time contract position runs through May 22, 2026, and focuses on delivering specialized instruction and services to young learners with special needs. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to the unique needs of up to 20 PreK students. Maintaining compliance with all early childhood special education documentation and paperwork requirements. Collaborating closely with the early childhood educational team and families to communicate student progress and address developmental goals. Participating as a member of the evaluation team to assess eligibility for early childhood special education services. Preferred qualifications and experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification in Nebraska with an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or inclusive early childhood endorsement. Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and implement specialized instructional strategies in a classroom setting. Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate with families and multidisciplinary teams. Experience working in early childhood education settings, particularly within PreK classrooms, is highly valued. This position offers structured school hours from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, with no site travel required. The selected candidate will serve onsite in a dedicated PreK classroom environment.
