A K-12 school in Taylor, MI, is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for a full-term contract through the current school year. This onsite position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, supporting students in the northern portion of a cooperative educational district. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized or small group social work support within classroom, school, or community environments. Collaborate as part of the student intervention team alongside principals, psychologists, ancillary staff, and teachers. Consult with parents, school personnel, and community agencies to promote student well-being. Deliver in-service training and parent education programs related to social-emotional development and mental health. Participate actively as a member of Individualized Educational Planning (IEP) teams. Apply Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques as needed. Maintain regular, predictable on-site attendance and adhere to professional work standards. Preferred Qualifications: Current Michigan 310 Certificate or Michigan Social Worker license. Experience supporting K-12 students social, emotional, and mental health needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work professionally with diverse school staff and families. Familiarity with educational interventions and team-based student support models. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following school policies.
