Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to work as an onsite, part-time teacher specializing in serving students who are blind or visually impaired in a K-12 school setting. The role involves working up to four days per week within a supportive educational environment focused on meeting the unique needs of visually impaired learners.

Duration:
Contract from January 12, 2026, through June 26, 2026
Schedule:
Up to four days weekly, Monday through Friday
Specific caseload and daily hours to be determined based on final placement and availability
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments
Collaborate with educational teams and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Utilize adaptive teaching methods and assistive technology to enhance learning experiences
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Maintain detailed records and reports as required by school policies
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid New York State teaching license in Blind and Visually Impaired education
Experience working with K-12 students who are blind or visually impaired
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with flexibility to adapt to caseload demands
