Role Description
This is a fully-remote
Private Practice Addiction Therapist
position for licensed counselors (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LICSW, NCC) based in Massachusetts.
Specialty : Problematic Porn Use (PPU), Problematic Sexual Behavior, Infidelity and adjacent behaviors. Your work will largely focus on 1:1 therapy with individual clients, potential group therapy and intensive therapy if interested.
You will:
Provide individual and group therapy to clients using a strengths-based, human-centered protocol which you will be trained in
Treatment planning and progress tracking
You will receive internal referrals and also promote your own referrals through online listings
Participate in case consultation with lead clinicians
Administrative tasks appropriate to the role
Volume expectation is building to 25-30 sessions per week
Be accessible and responsive appropriate to the role
This role is ideal for you if
you enjoy working with primarily men in helping them understand the inner-tension and underlying needs that drive problematic behavior patterns particularly in the areas of problematic porn use and adjacent patterns in a trauma-informed, healing-centered practice.
What We're Looking For
Masterโs degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
Licensure in MA required, additional is a bonus
Ability and interest in joining a busy practice and able to see 25-30 visits per week
Passionate about helping clients overcome problematic sexual behavior
Strong interpersonal skills, clinical curiosity, and a nonjudgmental presence
Willingness to engage in supervision and take feedback
Comfortable working remotely and managing your schedule independently
Bonus if you have:
Experience with addiction, compulsive sexual behavior, or trauma
Interest in group therapy, couples or intensive work
A personal or academic interest in men's sexual health, relationship dynamics, or sexual health
