About the Position
The company is seeking an accomplished
Vice President of T&D Inspection / Quality / Testing
to lead its
Utility Transmission and Distribution (T&D)
inspection and construction oversight business.
This executive will oversee all aspects of the division’s operations—driving performance, quality, and growth across inspection and QA/QC programs related to
high‑voltage transmission line construction, maintenance, and testing . The ideal candidate will be a seasoned industry professional with a deep understanding of
utility‑scale T&D operations
and a proven track record of
business development, operational leadership, and P& L management .

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the
Utility T&D Inspection, Quality, and Testing
business segment, ensuring excellence across operations, safety, and quality performance.
Oversee P& L performance, business development, and strategic planning for long‑term growth.
Drive operational consistency and efficiency across large‑scale T&D inspection and construction oversight programs.
Lead a team of technical and inspection professionals to ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and regulatory standards.
Serve as the
primary customer engagement executive , managing key utility and EPC client relationships.
Partner with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives, including geographic expansion and service line diversification.
Track and analyze performance metrics to inform investment, resource allocation, and process improvement decisions.
Ensure full compliance with all
industry standards and regulations , including
NESC, OSHA, and IEEE .
Represent the division with
C‑Suite executives and Boards , communicating performance updates, risk assessments, and growth strategies.
Requirements
15+ years of experience
in the
utility industry , with a strong focus on
transmission line construction, maintenance, and inspection .
Prior hands‑on experience as an
inspector , with deep technical understanding of QA/QC, testing, and inspection services.
Minimum
5 years of leadership experience
with demonstrated
P& L ownership
and
business development
responsibility.
Proven ability to
develop and execute business growth strategies
in the utility or construction services sector.
Strong understanding of
high‑voltage transmission line construction practices, materials, and equipment .
Ability to read and interpret complex
engineering drawings, plans, and specifications .
Experience serving as the
lead customer engagement point
for operational updates, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Quantifiable experience tracking performance metrics to drive operational and financial outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree
in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
Experience with
O&M and construction management
in utility environments.

Base Salary:
$175,000 – $225,000
