Job Summary
This job, under the direction of a radiologist or physician performs peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical data. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Essential Functions

Performs all procedures proficiently and strives to maintain high quality.
Assists with invasive procedures using aseptic/sterile technique.
Prepares and administers contrast materials associated with imaging procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved protocol.
Prepares scan room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol. Discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen.
Assures that proper radiation safety measures are being utilized.
Performs department and hospital related computer functions pertinent to job. Enters and records data accurately and promptly. Exhibits competency in performing QC tasks associated with equipment and procedures and ensures standards are met according to state and federal regulations
Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift
Provides clinical instruction to student and staff technologists.
Participates independently in call rotation.
Implements emergency procedures, as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic
Technolog
y.
Experience - One (1) year experience in interventional or neurointerventional preferred.

ARRT certification
SCRQSA registered
BLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Operation of diagnostic imaging equipment/computers,
Ability to treat patients of all ages
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
Data entry
Mathematical skills
Epic radiant experience preferred
