Account Manager (Los Angeles)

Position Summary: The Account Manager – Outside Sales is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio, primarily in the construction and building trades. This is a field-based role focused on building long-term relationships, driving new business, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, knowledgeable about construction materials, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to retain and grow accounts. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, builders, and developers. Conduct regular site visits to assess customer needs, resolve issues, and provide product recommendations. Prepare and present quotes, bids, and product proposals. Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and dispatch teams to ensure timely deliveries and service excellence. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer communication using CRM tools. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

2+ years of outside sales experience in construction, building materials, or related industry. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and growing customer accounts. Knowledge of building materials (lumber, drywall, hardware, etc.) strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Ability to travel locally on a daily basis.
