About the Role HC Solutions Group is partnered with a well-established, mid-sized architecture firm in Charlotte, NC to hire an Architectural Technical Lead. This is a senior-level opportunity for a Registered Architect with 8+ years of experience who is ready to serve as the studio lead on the technical side of the practice.

This position is ideal for an architect who thrives in technical leadership, quality control, project execution, and mentoring teams while supporting a diverse portfolio of industrial, retail, mixed-use, and laboratory projects.

Key Responsibilities As the Architectural Technical Lead, you will serve as the studio’s technical authority and guide project teams through all phases of design and documentation. Responsibilities include: Leading technical execution across multiple active projects Overseeing construction documentation and detailing standards Ensuring code compliance, constructability, and QA/QC reviews Providing mentorship and direction to architects and designers Supporting project managers with technical problem-solving Coordinating with consultants, engineers, and client stakeholders Driving best practices in Revit workflows, BIM standards, and documentation processes Serving as a technical resource for complex building types including laboratory facilities

Qualifications To be considered, candidates must have: Active Registered Architect license (required) 8+ years of professional architectural experience Strong background in technical leadership and project delivery Experience with industrial, retail, mixed-use, or laboratory projects Advanced knowledge of building codes, permitting, and construction methods Proficiency in Revit and BIM-based documentation Proven ability to lead teams and maintain high technical standards Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism
