Job Summary and Qualifications The Cath Lab RN coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care as related to the Cardiology Department. Administers medications,monitorspatient vital signs/EKG, performs continual patient assessment duringpatientsstay in the Cardiology Department. Documentsaccuratenursing records and patient data. Coordinates patient teaching andpost procedureassessment. Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Assistswithinserviceeducation. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcomeanalysisand performance improvement. Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Nurse Manager toassurethe department runs effectively and efficiently. Responds within 30 minutes when onstand byand able toassistat other system Cath lab asneeded.
What qualifications you will need:
Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(RN) Registered Nurse
Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
