*Purpose of Position*

Responsible for curriculum, classroom management, environment, and implementing a high-quality early education program.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Create and implement program meeting the needs of children * Implement approved curriculum in coordination with the Program Director * Maintain safe, clean, appealing environment * Engage children and encourage participation * Observe, record, and report child behaviors * Communicate with families and hold conferences * Administer first aid and handle emergencies * Participate in ongoing training and professional development * Maintain confidentiality of all information * Comply with state licensing requirements

*Qualifications*

* Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license * Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in ECE/related field * Two years successful experience working with children * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to document work accurately * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

*Required Certifications & Background Checks*

* Current First Aid & CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start). * Vermont Agency of Education required background checks, including fingerprinting. * Completion of state-mandated trainings prior to or shortly after hire (Mandated Reporter, Medication Administration, etc.).

*Physical Demands*

* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. * Frequent bending, squatting, and floor-level interaction with children. * Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
