Description:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, or electronic components according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. This role ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
Follow work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications and standards
Identify and report defects, shortages, or process issues to supervisors
Test assembled components for functionality when required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Meet daily production goals and adhere to deadlines
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
Document work performed as required (checklists, travelers, logs)
Assist with rework, repairs, or continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (technical certification a plus)
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, or schematics
Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring devices
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Standing: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.
Walking: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.
Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping-These physical requirements are essential job functions.
Pushing and Pulling- These physical requirements are essential job functions.
Reaching, forward, and overhead are essential job functions /physical requirements.
Lifting - employees must lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds.

Schedule:
Day shift - 6 am-2:30pm-Monday-Friday
Second Shift 2:30 pm-1:00 am Monday-Thursday (10% differential )
