Installation Manager Reports to: Ownership Direct Reports: Installers, Laborers, Subcontract Installers Role Summary The Installation Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing all field operations to ensure that installations happen on time, correctly, safely, and with full alignment between the office, field, and general contractors. This role eliminates information silos, provides proactive communication, and ensures that manpower, materials, and scheduling are managed with discipline and consistency. Core Responsibilities 1. Communication & Coordination (Primary Responsibility)

* Maintain consistent communication with GCs, PMs, and Installers before, during, and after installation. * Notify GCs when crews will not be onsite; set clear expectations for future dates. * Ensure PMs are fully updated on schedule changes, field conditions, delays, manpower needs, and material issues. * Prevent silos: all necessary information for each stakeholder is shared consistently.

2. Installation Scheduling & Calendar Management

* Maintain the installation calendar fully up to date at all times. * Draft manpower needs 1-2 weeks ahead. * Assign installers to jobs based on skill, schedule, and priority. * Coordinate any overtime, weekend work, or temporary labor when needed. * Confirm start dates with GCs in advance. * Proactively plan out labor needs for large / out of town jobs.

3. Managing Labor, Payroll, and Material Flow

* Oversee installer payroll hours, ensuring accuracy and timely approval. * Manage tools, equipment, and material coming into and out of the warehouse daily. * Review installers' daily logs and hold them accountable for completeness. * Provide the office completed labor information for monthly payment applications

4. Site Visits, Quality Control, and Training

* On-site responsibilities for critical tasks: * Engineering issues * Job checks * Field measurements * Training installers * One-off specialty installs * QC and punch list verification * Provide coaching and training to installers when necessary.

5. Pre-Cons, Drawings, and Job Readiness

* Set up and attend pre-construction meetings as needed. * Review Procore drawings, details, and submittals before installers mobilize. * Verify site readiness (backing, finishes, plumbing, access). * Coordinate lodging for installers on out-of-town jobs.

6. Safety, Documentation, and Compliance

* Manage all installer certifications: * Safety paperwork * AHAs * Toolbox talks * First Aid * OSHA * Forklift certifications * Maintain documentation and ensure installers are current.

7. Hiring & Subcontractor Coordination

* Assist with hiring installers and determining skill levels. * Evaluate when subcontract installers are needed. * Coordinate and schedule subcontract labor.
