JOB DUTIES: Provide direct patient oral hygiene care for program members, including comprehensive prevention, maintenance, and/or therapeutic dental treatment restorative services. Educates members of their oral status, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimum oral health. Data collection and documentation pertaining to patients oral health in compliance with policy and procedure. Maintain a work area appropriate to a clinical environment in compliance with environmental health and safety standards. Support other office functions during down time, ensuring a level of cooperation and positive work environment.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program with a minimum of an Associates degree in Applied Science. Dental Hygienist License (Oregon) with Nitrous & Anesthesia Endorsements. National Provider Identifier at time of hire. Basic Life Support at time of hire. Educational knowledge of X-Ray equipment, Ultrasonic Scalers, and Handpieces.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control equipment. Basic computer skills. Nitrous oxide permit. Restorative function endorsement (Oregon Dental Hygiene license only - this endorsement is included in the Washington State Dental Hygiene license). Experience with X-Ray equipment, Ultrasonic Scalers, and Handpieces.

HOURS: Full time – 40 hours. Schedule is four 10 hour shifts - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday &/OR Saturday between 7:00am-6:00pm. Off Tuesdays, Sundays and variable Saturdays.
