Lead Activities Coordinator, CTRS

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking a Lead Activities Coordinator to join our team! Full-time position available with complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with company match, and more. Hours may vary but are typically Monday through Friday 8AM to 4:30PM with some weekends/Holidays required. Promotes person centered care for all residents. Coordinates, and leads daily recreation and leisure programs designed to meet the interest and needs of each resident in Health Care, AL, and MSU as assigned. Assesses leisure and recreation needs of residents and maintains notations of daily activities of residents. Implements and coordinates daily activities working closely with other Recreation Staff. Interviews and assesses assigned residents prior to initial resident care. planning. Documents and maintains activity admission assessments, MDS, care plans, and progress notes in a timely manner as assigned. Participates in resident care plan conferences for assigned residents including making recommendations concerning recreation therapy methods and techniques as assigned. Transports residents to and from group activities and assists with publicizing programs for residents well in advance. Complies with current State, Federal, Department of Health, and Department of Social Services Regulatory policies and procedures. Assists with the coordination of volunteers and staff for activities programming. Monitors and complies with budget expenditures and orders as assigned, maintains inventories, stores, and cleans recreation equipment and supplies. Create calendars with day by day programing and Rec staff schedules. Manages Activity Staff and assures that departmental staff comply with Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg policies and procedures. Recommends related events for the monthly activity calendar.
