Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Physical Therapist position supports K-12 students across multiple schools in the Research Triangle area, NC. The role is on-site and offers a contract duration through June 10, 2026, with an immediate start date. The caseload includes 30-40 students of varying ages, primarily within elementary, middle, and high school settings. Responsibilities include: Provide direct physical therapy services aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs) Visit approximately 5-9 schools, adjusting frequency as needed based on student caseloads and school schedules Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to support student development and functional mobility Document progress and treatment outcomes according to district requirements Comply with all licensing and regulatory standards applicable to school-based physical therapy Qualifications: Active Physical Therapist license required Prior school-based physical therapy experience is mandatory Strong understanding of pediatric therapeutic interventions across K-12 age groups Excellent communication and organizational skills for working in a multi-school environment Ability to manage varying schedules and treatment frequencies efficiently Work schedule aligns with school hours: Elementary schools: 7:45 AM 2:15 PM Middle schools: 8:30 AM 3:15 PM High schools: 9:15 AM 4:15 PM This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students functional abilities within a dynamic educational environment.
