SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a

Truck Operator

that will be responsible for operating trucks as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES Operate the following trucks based on project requirements: Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, Tractor Trailer/Lowboy Follow prescribed safety regulations Ensure housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunctions Follow work plans and pre-task cards Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels Willingness to travel per project needs and requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS Related construction experience preferred Current driver’s license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by law Strong teamwork orientation Positive attitude and professional customer service skills Detail orientation Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel to operate equipment Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts Knowledge of equipment and their uses Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, and multiplication) Ability to work independently Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
