Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Endicott)

Our firm is working with a growing Manufacturing plant in the Southern Tier of Upstate NY. They are looking for

Senior Design Engineers

to lead the development of advanced mechanical components Responsibilities Develop, design, and test fixtures and tools for various machining Develop manufacturing routings and analyze engineering change notices Participate in design for manufacturability reviews Lead product/process improvements and cost out initiatives. Perform root cause analysis Program CNC for various milling, turning and operations and ensure optimum cycle time and tools selection. Qualifications and requirements 10 years+ in a shop floor manufacturing environment preferably aerospace products US Citizen Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or Master degree with 7 years of experience. Must have at least 5-years of CAD 3D & 2D drawings software experience preferably Creo and Esprit Edge CNC programming. Lean Six-Sigma process improvement experience At least 3-years experience in designing fixtures and tools for machining operations and assemblies Familiarity with vacuum and dip brazing processes This role is onsite 5 days
