SAP SAC Planning Lead Consultant (San Mateo)

Role: SAP SAC Planning Lead Consultant Location: Bay Area, CA (3 Days Onsite – Mandatory) Duration: 12 Months Contract Start: ASAP ⚡ Client Interviews: Immediate

Role Overview: We are seeking a senior-level SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade financial planning and analytics solutions. This is a hands-on functional/technical leadership role requiring deep SAC Planning expertise combined with strong SAP Finance process knowledge.

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design and implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud Planning solutions. Translate FP&A business requirements into scalable SAC models and planning frameworks. Develop and configure planning models, data actions, advanced formulas, and multi-actions. Design and manage live and import data connections including OData and custom data acquisition processes. Drive integration between SAP S/4HANA, SAC Planning, and SAC Group Reporting. Support financial consolidation and reporting use cases. Optimize model performance, data structures, and planning workflows.

Required Experience 12+ years within the SAP ecosystem (ECC and/or S/4HANA). 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning focus). 5+ years of SAP BPC Planning experience (Embedded or Standard). Minimum 3 full-cycle project implementations in SAC Planning or SAP BPC. Strong corporate financial planning background including: Budgeting, Forecasting, Long-range planning and FP&A processes

Functional & Technical Expertise Deep understanding of Financial Statements: P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards. Experience supporting planning, budgeting, and consolidation processes in ECC or S/4. Financial Consolidation experience with integration between S/4HANA and SAC Group Reporting (preferred). Advanced data modelling skills including: Dimensions & Measures design Custom hierarchies Calculated measures Data wrangling (merge, append, transformations) Version management Experience configuring: Live Data Connections, Import Data Connections and Generic services & custom OData sources

Nice to Have Experience with SAC Predictive capabilities: Smart Predict, Smart Assist and Augmented Analytics
