Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in elementary school settings. This role offers the chance to impact the communication development of students within special education programs, supporting their growth in either Emporia or Council Grove, Kansas.
Location Options:
Emporia School District, Emporia, KS
Morris County School District, Council Grove, KS
The position typically involves working with caseloads varying from 10-12 students one day a week to 50-55 students throughout a five-day week. Flexibility in scheduling allows for full-time or part-time hours, tailoring the workload to fit the candidates availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports adhering to district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license required
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in special education environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage students and collaborate with staff
