Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support K12 students as a School Psychologist delivering comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and collaborating with school teams to promote academic and behavioral success. This contract position is based in Belfast, ME, serving a diverse student population from preschool through high school.
Position Overview
This role involves conducting detailed assessments, interpreting results, and preparing clear, compliant reports to guide Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and eligibility meetings. You will work alongside teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide consultation on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs while supporting MTSS/RTI initiatives. Committing to compliance with state and district guidelines is essential for student success and adherence to special education regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Administer psychoeducational evaluations and assessments across K12 levels
Interpret assessment data and produce thorough, compliant reports
Participate actively in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with educators and school personnel to address student needs
Provide consultation related to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
Support MTSS/RTI frameworks and interventions
Ensure adherence to state and district special education requirements
Required Qualifications
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Active Maine School Psychologist certification or eligibility
Proven experience with school-based evaluations and IEP processes
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
