Medication Technician

The company offers health insurance benefits, 401K and tuition assistance. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located at The Abigail in Redwood City, CA. The Medication Technician will be responsible for preparing and administering medications accurately, documenting medication administration, monitoring patients for side effects, and reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance to Title 22 regulations. Additional responsibilities include receiving medications from the pharmacy, documenting incoming medications into the centrally stored log, destructing and documenting destruction of medications, taking and recording vital signs, and providing exceptional customer service to residents and their families while adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols. You will have the opportunity to work with many of the area's leading health care professionals.

Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with residents, families, the pharmacies, the health care professionals and team members. Proficiency in taking and recording Vital Signs and assisting with resident care as needed. Course and certification of medication technician provided. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Prior experience in elder care or an assisted living facility is highly beneficial.
