Utilizes the nursing process assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and recordings of patient care. Teaches, delegates, and supervises other nursing staff in the provision of care. Coordinates services with other members of the healthcare team to provide complex patient care. Practices within the scope of the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and Person Memorial Hospital policies/procedures/standards. This position requires working both days and night shift and does float to different departments within the hospital of the employees choosing, such as ICU, Med Surg or ED. The majority will be in House Supervision.

Reports to:

Director of Nursing Mentors' others to recognize changes in patient status and assists in the management of complex and or unpredictable patients. Delegates care based on the needs of the patients or staff competency/qualifications. Communicates with Manager and other healthcare providers in a timely and professional manner. Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited school is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Active and valid Registered Nurse License is required. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Work Experience 2-3 years of recent RN experience in a healthcare setting.
