Horticulturist - $22.50 per hour (54021)

Water, prune and plant and provide general care of all plants Design, layout and create flower plant arrangements Maintain soil stabilization, fertilization and nutrient balancing Push mow all boulevards Pot, replant, and relocate plants Spray herbicides and fungicides for insect control Maintain irrigation system Help with snow removal KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge and Certification Required: 2 year degree / certificate as a Horticulturist or 2 years of horticultural experience Must have or obtain Commercial Pesticide Application license within first 90 days Skills Required: Accurate and detail-oriented Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Abilities Required: Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional manner Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to maintain high confidentiality Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene REQUIRED TRAINING

Treasure Island guest service training Bloodborne Pathogens training Any position-related training as determined by department manager PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to walk and / or stand for long periods of time Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must be able to twist and reach for objects on a routinely Must be able to climb a ladder Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds regularly Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions Must have good eye hand coordination WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Maintenance shop environment including excessive noise, such as power tools, dust and fumes from chemicals Outdoor environment Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters Must handle hazardous materials Occasionally overtime may be required Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
