Stationary Engineer

Our client, a leader in critical environment management, is seeking an Operating Engineer 3 to join their team. As an Operating Engineer 3, you will be part of the Facilities Operations supporting critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title:

Operating Engineer 3 Location: Menands, NY Pay Range:$32/h - $36/h

Shift:

7a m - 3:30pm M-F What's the Job? Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for all facility systems, ensuring continuous operation and compliance with standards

Adjust and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning, boilers, ventilators, hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical/electrical equipment

Conduct regular rounds, record readings, and make adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation; analyze system performance and resolve malfunctions

Install and repair plumbing, piping, and wiring; rebuild/install pumps, air compressors, heat exchangers, bearings, seals, filters, and controls

Operate and maintain critical equipment including UPS systems, generators, chillers, and air conditioning units

What's Needed? Hands-on experience in a data center or critical facility environment, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear equipment

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent

Universal Technician certification for CFCs

Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical abilities
