About the role We are seeking a candidate with a background in mechanical engineering with proficiency in Solidworks modeling and drawing creation.

This individual will report to the Hardware Engineering Manager and primarily support on tasks associated with our latest farm build.

This role will be hired on a six-month contract basis to start, with the potential to become permanent.

What you’ll do

Create CAD drawings and maintain engineering documentation (spec sheets, operating SOPs, MEP schematics).

Support Senior team members on component and subsystem design on our latest SQR farm build

Support on select tasks related to existing SQR projects to prepare for potential advancement into a full time position

Qualifications

Four-year mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.

0-2+ years of applicable experience.

Highly proficient in Solidworks and other CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion, Catia, SketchUp, or similar).

Proficient in Statics, Electrical design, HVAC and Fluid Dynamic concepts

Familiar with manufacturing tools and processes (additive manufacturing, machine tools, injection molding, vacuum forming, etc)

Exposure to Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)is a plus.

Based on how we have planned for this role, we believe the pay range for the six month contract is $47-$53k, the equivalent of $95-$105k annually. However, this range may vary depending on skillset, experience, and geography.
