Specimen Processor/ Accessioner

Pride Health is urgently seeking candidates for a Specimen Processing/Specimen Accessioner in Shelton, CT 06484.This is a Contractual role with possibility for extension or conversion to full time.

Schedule: 4am to 12:30 pm Tuesday-Saturday (40hrs/week)

Pay Range: $17-$18/hr/hour

*Pay offered will be based on experience, expertise and education.

Job Duties: Accession incoming specimens and route specimens to the appropriate laboratory or send them out to the appropriate satellite facility. · Prepare specimens for the laboratory prior to laboratory processing/testing, including sorting and labeling specimens and accompanying paperwork. · Data enter specimens, patient, and client information from specimen requisitions into the laboratory database. · Identify, alert, and hold specimens with incomplete processing information until resolved. · Verify requisitions are entered correctly into the database. · Scan, copy, and file specimen paperwork.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience in healthcare.

Data entry experience a must.
