Job Description

We are seeking an adaptable and detail-oriented Skilled Construction Craftsman with entry- to mid-level experience to provide essential physical support and skilled assistance to various trades working on the project. This role requires versatility, providing fundamental support to both new construction and renovation activities. This is a safety sensitive position. Key Responsibilities : Performs a variety of support tasks on interior and exterior new construction and renovation projects, including selective demolition, site preparation, and debris removal. Assists skilled trades such as carpenters and finishers with activities spanning from site work (Division 02) to finishes (Division 09). This entails handling and transporting materials like lumber, drywall, and flooring. Supports the installation of building components, including assisting with framing, setting doorframes, hanging/finishing drywall, paint prep and painting, placing insulation, trim carpentry/millwork installation, and tile setting. Aids in the receiving, assembly, and installation of project furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) as required under Division 12. Loads, unloads, and distributes building materials, machinery, and tools to appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications. Responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly distributed, and the site is swept and well-maintained. Promotes a safe work environment and communicates job site hazards. This includes helping to secure the job site at the end of each day and verifying that all materials are properly stored. Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of directly related experience in construction craft work (e.g., carpentry, concrete, general labor support, or related finishing trades). High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver’s License is required. This role necessitates a demonstrated willingness and ability to travel extensively, including short-term and long-term assignments to project sites, as work is performed in both company office and diverse field locations for projects ranging in duration. Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions. Must be able to take initiative. Must be reliable and punctual ; this includes consistent work attendance. • Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders. Physical Demands: Must be able to perform Heavy Work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to frequently walk about the jobsite, climb, stoop, reach, and grasp. Must be able to safely wear a respirator and pass applicable medical/fit testing examination. Employment Offers are Contingent upon successful completion of: Verification of work authorization and employment eligibility. Substance abuse screening. NCIE III background checks for security clearances. Preferred Qualifications: Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading. OSHA 10 Certification. Experience working on federal government projects and familiarity with their specific safety and quality control requirements. Compensation & Benefits : Base Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 Comprehensive benefits package including: Eligibilty for company Health, Vision, Dental and Life insurance. 2 wks Paid Time Off (PTO), Sick Days, and Holidays.
