03/30/2026 Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Labor/Delivery unit is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and postpartum, and supporting low-risk births. Experience with NICU is beneficial but not required. Responsibilities: Care for low-risk maternal patients and manage common diagnoses such as GDM. Administer common drips including insulin, magnesium, and pitocin using Alaris pumps. Participate in every third weekend scheduling as required. Adhere to unit-specific policies such as fingernail and radius rules. Requirements: Valid drivers license to confirm distance from the facility. Pass an open book skills exam during orientation with at least a 90% score. BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory. Flexible scheduling is preferred for blocked scheduling approval.
