1 Interventional Radiology RN Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred) Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license (PA nursing license) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required 1 year of clinical experience in Interventional Radiology, IR lab, or a related specialty (IR nurse / radiology nurse experience) preferred Strong patient assessment, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area Interventional Radiology Nurse Responsibilities Provide peri-procedural nursing care in the IR lab, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure monitoring and documentation Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care under the direction of a licensed physician Administer medications and therapies as ordered; maintain accurate, timely charting and electronic medical records Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, effective care Support vascular interventions, angiography, catheter-based procedures, and procedures using fluoroscopy as appropriate to the unit Deliver patient education and post-procedure instructions to support recovery and discharge planning Direct and support nursing support staff in alignment with standards of practice and unit policies Apply now
