Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Responsibilities Acute care hospital setting, Med/Surg unit with 39 beds Unit includes 24 MS/Telemetry beds; patient population includes pacemakers, cardiac monitoring, and potassium management — no acutely cardiac cases Patient ratio of 1:6 Charting via MEDITECH (experience highly preferred) Medication system: McKesson Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), every other weekend required Travelers are first to float to other Med/Surg units within their scope of practice 13-week assignment Night shift position Royal blue scrubs required; not provided by the facility Candidates should have housing arrangements secured prior to placement, as affordable housing in the area can be difficult to find Up to 1 shift cancellation per 4-week period is possible, though rarely exercised Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required BSN not required Telemetry experience is beneficial but not required; basic tele is a plus MEDITECH experience highly preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-678580.
