Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in a middle school setting located in Tijeras, NM. This role involves working in an inclusion classroom with a caseload of approximately 15 students, with the potential to serve up to 35 depending on the level of service needed. Primary student disabilities include Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Disturbance (ED), Speech or Language Impairment (SLI), and Orthopedic Impairment (OI). Responsibilities: Design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom environments Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed Maintain detailed records of student performance and IEP compliance Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration Qualifications: Valid Professional Educator Development (PED) license required; applications without this credential will not be considered Experience working with middle school-aged students in special education settings Familiarity with a range of disabilities including SLD, OHI, ED, SLI, and OI Ability to manage caseloads ranging from 15 to 35 students Strong collaborative and communication skills Location: Tijeras, New Mexico Hours and Duration: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract positioned for a full semester This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys within a supportive and dynamic environment.
