A per diem pharmacist position is available at a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patients who often manage 8-15 medications daily. This role requires strong communication and consultation skills to effectively support patients with chronic, advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis. The patient population primarily includes Medicare and Medicaid individuals with low income and literacy levels, so compassion and patience are essential. Located in Hilliard, OH, this role operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., using Rx30 software. Candidates should have strong retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience, with a preference for those familiar with specialty medications and disease state management. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert consultation and medication management for patients with complex therapies. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients who have limited health literacy. Manage medication dispensing and inventory using Rx30 software. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and outcomes. Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulatory standards and protocols. Desired Qualifications: Valid PA pharmacist license. Demonstrated expertise in retail and specialty pharmacy settings. Strong disease state management and consultation skills. Experience working with Medicare/Medicaid populations.
