The position is a contract assignment in Olympia Fields, IL, within a busy emergency department known for managing a diverse patient population, including acute, chronic, trauma, pediatric, and behavioral health cases. Responsibilities include: Conducting patient assessments and applying critical thinking skills to prioritize care Performing rapid triage using established guidelines to assign Emergency Severity Index (ESI) levels Administering treatments and interventions proficiently with various medical equipment Communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintaining emotional resilience and exhibiting compassion and respect in patient interactions Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license with 2 to 3 years of emergency department experience Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Strong skills in assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and technical proficiency Experience with electronic medical records and emergency department equipment such as infusion pumps and monitors Preferred certifications include TNCC, SANE, and ECRN Ability to accurately assign ESI levels based on ENA guidelines Calm and energetic demeanor with a team-oriented and compassionate approach Location Overview:Olympia Fields, IL is a welcoming community located near Chicagos southern suburbs.
