You must have a current RN license, at least 1–2 years of recent emergency room experience, and be comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR). Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is often preferred. Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
