Telemetry RN Responsibilities (Cardiac/Pulmonary)

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to telemetry patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions in an acute care hospital setting

Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms/telemetry strips, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate appropriately

Administer medications, titrate therapies per protocol, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Perform focused assessments, document accurately in the medical record, and maintain compliance with unit standards

Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning needs

Collaborate with peers to support patient throughput, safety, and quality outcomes
