Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and clinically skilled Behavior Intervention Consultant to support students, staff, and school teams by developing, monitoring, and guiding the implementation of behavioral strategies. The Behavior Intervention Consultant will conduct observations, consult with educational teams, and ensure that interventions align with the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and best-practice behavioral principles.

Who You Are: You are a BCBA/LBA who is available during after-school/evening hours (Monday–Friday) and brings experience supervising BIS providers, supporting families and providing clinically appropriate guidance. You thrive in a mentoring role and are comfortable guiding best practices across home-based settings.

Qualifications: BCBA/LBA ( required )

Preferred: Experience conducting behavioral assessments, writing BIPs, or consulting within school settings. Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow professional and ethical standards.

Responsibilities: Conduct student observations to determine behavioral needs and guide intervention planning. Develop, refine, or provide input on interventions in place and behavioral goals in alignment with the IEP. Provide consultation and coaching to BIS providers on effective behavior support strategies. Analyze behavioral data and make data-driven recommendations for intervention adjustments.

Collaboration & Communication Attend CSE meetings or team consultations as needed to provide behavioral insights and recommendations. Opportunity to collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to support consistency across environments. Communicate professionally and effectively with district personnel regarding student progress and needs. Documentation & Compliance Produce clear, objective consultation notes summarizing observations, recommendations, and progress. Ensure interventions follow ethical guidelines and comply with state, district, and agency policies. Support adherence to IEP mandates and relevant behavioral standards.
