JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active PA medical license

Board: Board Certified in Rheumatology

DEA: Active DEA Certification

Certifications: BLS

Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty

Other Qualifications: Ability to function independently and manage established patient panel

Would consider 2 candidates who could each cover consistently 2 weeks/month on a regular ongoing schedule

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide in-person and virtual patient visits

Manage established patient panel and assist with care of existing patients

Review and sign therapy plans and infusion orders

Oversee infusions performed at UPMC infusion center

Provide laboratory surveillance and medication refills

Conduct new patient visits (40 minutes) and follow-up visits (20 minutes)

Perform joint injections

Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
