Rapides Regional Medical Center (part of HCA Healthcare)

ICU Beds:

34-bed medical/surgical ICU

Schedule:

Block scheduling with rotating day and night shifts

Coverage Model: Day: 2 Intensivists + APP support

Night: 1 Intensivist + APP

Required Procedures: Central/arterial line placement

Ventilator management

Intubations

EMR:

Meditech with voice dictation

Collaborative Environment:

Close coordination with hospitalists and full specialty support including pulmonology, cardiology, surgery, and more

This physician/APP role requires stamina in fast-paced healthcare: prolonged standing/walking (8-12 hrs/shift); rapid emergency movement (sprints, crowds); lifting/carrying 25-50 lbs equipment; pushing/pulling 100 lbs (beds/carts) with aid; frequent

bending/stooping/kneeling
