Monitor Technician Part-Time (Nights)

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Position Details: The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Part-Time - 24 hours per week - 12-hour shifts Qualifications: Education : High school diploma, G.E.D. and/or current Mercy coworker; Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam. Other : Basic computer skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is essential, excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure is a must. Preferred Experience : Experience preferred but not mandatory. Preferred Certifications : CRAT certification preferred. Why Mercy?
