Doctor of Medicine | Administration Location: Kentucky, KY Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Physician - General Medicine Locum (KY) | Competitive Compensation Flexibility Join a dedicated team providing vital healthcare services to our nation's Veterans as a Locum Physician in General Medicine. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work independently within your own practice location while contributing meaningfully to veteran care. With flexible scheduling options and competitive pay, you can balance professional fulfillment with personal commitments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and Separation Health Assessments Perform interview-based assessments, including physical exams such as range of motion and muscle strength testing No prescribing or treatment involved Manage exam documentation and submit comprehensive reports Coordinate with the Veterans Evaluation Services team for smooth onboarding and ongoing support Required Skills: Medical license in good standing Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine Experience with compensation and pension assessments is preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform physical assessments and document findings accurately Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience with veterans’ health evaluations Familiarity with medical reporting and documentation tools Ability to work independently and manage own schedule Prior experience with telehealth or interview-based assessments Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) Active medical license in Kentucky At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or related fields Prior experience with disability evaluations or compensation exams is advantageous Other Requirements: Own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY Availability for 2 days per week Reliable internet and equipment for remote documentation if needed Willingness to undergo credentialing and onboarding swiftly Local candidates only; travel included in rates No additional reimbursements for certifications or training prior to start Enjoy a rewarding position with flexible hours—whether half-day or full-day shifts—offering a flat rate of $800 for 4-hour shifts and $1600 for full days. A one-time bonus of $650 is available upon completing initial training and first exams.
