Metallurgical Process Technician I

Laboratory Testing is an accredited, independent testing laboratory and calibration company located in Hatfield, PA and supports industries where precision, safety, and reliability are critical, including aerospace and space, power generation, military and defense, medical, and automotive/transportation. Our laboratory teams play a key role in material characterization and testing that ensures components meet strict performance and safety standards. We have a wonderful opportunity for a Metallurgical Process Technician. The Metallurgical Process Technician will perform hands-on sample preparation of metallurgical samples while working in a fast-paced laboratory setting. This position is ideal for candidates with 2–4 years of hands-on metallurgical or materials testing experience who enjoy detailed work and take pride in producing consistent, high-quality results. This is an onsite working at our facility in Hatfield, PA. The hours are Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8:30pm. Interprets engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate method of sample preparation. Responsible for recognizing a sample’s material type, orientation, size, and form. Labels materials and prepared samples with pertinent identification and information. Conducts routine maintenance of equipment including basic repairs when possible. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Laboratory Management Systems and Software. Mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, ability to multi-task, and work at an up-tempo pace. S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
