NOW HIRING PRIOR SERVICE NURSES

NURSE ANESTHETISTS Administer general and regional anesthesia, monitor patients and support training of medical personnel during reserve training, mobilizations and operational assignments.

MEDICAL-SURGICAL NURSES Assess, plan and implement patient care while assuming leadership roles during reserve duty and operational assignments.

PERIOPERATIVE NURSES Deliver perioperative nursing care and support surgical teams during training exercises, mobilizations and humanitarian missions.

CRITICAL CARE NURSES(MICU/NICU) Provide highly skilled nursing care to critically ill patients, including en route and deployed care, while training medical teams in critical care procedures.

MILITARY-SPECIFIC SPECIALIZATIONS Focus on education and training, manpower systems analysis and nursing research in support of Navy medical readiness.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Navy Reserve Nurse Corps Officers typically serve at medical facilities near their homes during monthly drills. Additional opportunities include annual training at Navy and military medical facilities across the U.S. or overseas, humanitarian missions, and mobilization assignments. Reserve Nurses may also support operations aboard hospital ships such as

USNS Comfort

and

USNS Mercy , or alongside Fleet Marine Force units when activated.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

To become a

Commissioned Officer in the Navy Reserve Nurse Corps , you must: Be a U.S. citizen between the ages of 18 and 41 Hold a current, unrestricted U.S. nursing license Be in good standing with a

CCNE-accredited

U.S. nursing program granting a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Meet physical, medical and professional standards for commissioned service Requirements may vary based on prior military service. Must be prior Commissioned Officer

PART-TIME SERVICE COMMITMENT

Navy Reserve Nurses typically serve: •

One weekend per month (drill) •

Two weeks per year (annual training) This structure allows you to serve your country while maintaining your civilian nursing career, advancing professionally and gaining leadership experience.
