We are partnering with an innovative, fast‑growing U.S. manufacturer to hire a
Plating Technician
for their state‑of‑the‑art production facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on plating, coating, or surface finishing experience to join a team focused on quality, technology, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
The Plating Technician will support electroplating and corrosion‑resistance coating processes across pilot and production lines. This role is key in ensuring high‑quality finishes and consistent product performance. Individuals with strong wet chemistry, metal finishing, or coating backgrounds will thrive here.

What You’ll Do
Assist engineering in developing wet plating processes, racking systems, and testing procedures.
Process production work orders, document data, and maintain accurate records.
Perform visual inspections, verify plating thickness, and ensure product quality.
Maintain plating bath chemistries, including chemical titrations and solution testing.
Conduct preventative maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
Manage materials, supplies, reports, corrosion tests, and data analysis.
Support senior engineers with experiments, process improvements, and plating line updates.
Collaborate with QC teams on sampling and product quality analysis.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in plating, surface finishing, or wet chemical processes.
Basic understanding of pretreatment processes and wet chemistry for coatings/plating.
Proficiency with Excel for data tracking and reporting.
Comfortable using measurement tools (micrometers, pH meters, measurement scopes).
Knowledge of safe handling methods for chemicals and materials.
Experience with processes such as Zn, phosphate, Ni/Cu, epoxy plating is preferred.
Experience with chemical titrations is a plus.
Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear required PPE.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive movements.
Education Requirements
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in plating or wet chemistry.
